‘Linz09 - The Organisation was founded on 11th May 2005. The responsibilities of this company involve the country, state of Upper Austria and city of Linz acquiring the finances needed. Linz09 is responsible for:

•    programme development and programme planning
•    programme production and distribution of the programme production orders to third parties
•    overall comprehensive marketing and communications for the project
•    overall budget management
•    organisational and staff development in relation to the structures required for the project
•    management of collaboration with other organisers
•   management of collaboration with coordination group, board of trustees and all other institutions involved
•    developing a sustainable concept for linking the structures created after the year as capital of culture

Martin Heller is Chairman of the Artistic Board to which furthermore belong Ulrich Fuchs (Deputy Artistic Director, Head of Project Development), Peter Androsch (Conception Music) and Airan Berg (Artistic Director Performing Arts).
