Olivier Poivre d’Arvor, Artistic Director
The writer and essayist Olivier Poivre d’Arvor was trained as a philosopher, and became a career diplomat, serving as cultural attaché in Alexandria, Prague and London. Since 1999 he has been Director of the French Artistic Action Association, which in 2006 became CulturesFrance. In this capacity he was in charge of disseminating French culture abroad and the Saisons étrangères organisation in France. With the Words Marathon (Marathon des mots), set up in 2005, he became one of the leading cultural figures in Toulouse.
Gauthier Morax, Cultural Attaché
After studies in political science and administration of cultural institutions at Sorbonne and Sciences Po in Paris, Gauthier Morax worked at the National Book Centre (Centre National du Livre) and at the Ministry for Culture. He has also been cultural attaché at the French embassy in Belgrade and manager of the literature festival Marathon des Mots.
Vanessa Vierling, Joint manager
After studies at the HEC, Vanessa first becomes export manager at Yves Saint Laurent and then marketing director at LVMH for Dior. During the years she has developed a solid knowledge in marketing strategies. Today, she lives in Toulouse, where she is Vice President of HEC Midi-Pyrénées and a marketing teacher. She also created DynaMark, a consulting firm specialised in events and marketing. At Toulouse 2013 she is facing a major challenge: make Toulouse emerge on the international scene.
Julien Bernard, Joint manager
Originate from Toulouse, Julien studied at ESSEC and Dauphine, where he is today a teacher. He also has more than 15 years of experience in marketing strategies from companies such as L’Oréal, Boston Consulting Group and Havas. In 2006, ha created his own consulting firm specialised in marketing. Julien already worked for several candidacies, for example the one of Paris for the Olympic Summer Games in 2012. Today he puts all his enthusiasm and knowledge to the city of Toulouse in the run for winning the label of European Capital of Culture.
Aziliz De Veyrinas, Marketing and Communication Manager
Azizliz works with communication in the Toulouse area since almost 10 years. As a member of the Board of Directors in the Communication Club, she knows well the different economical operators in the region. For Aziliz, the adventure of the Toulouse application is a real challenge as she likes them with the need to activate all networks and make all natives support the candidacy.
Raphaëlle Rivière, Coordinatrice
Raphaëlle is a path. Born on the crossroad that leads from Reunion Island to Persia, her studies in Art History and in Art events management take her to Italy, via Australia and Strasbourg. In 2007, her road takes her to Toulouse where she works for the festival Le Marathon des Mots. Then she joins the team of the Toulouse 2013's candidacy as administrator and coordinator of the application.
